One-on-one/hands-on physical therapy emphasizes individualized treatments with manual therapy techniques. Therapists are experts in managing recovery after surgeries such as hip, knee, shoulder, spine, and ankle. They work closely with surgeons and physicians to provide coordinated care. Orthopedic rehabilitation helps patients return to their daily routines and recreational activities. Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization enables clinicians to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. Originally developed for athletes, it utilizes specially designed instruments for effective treatment. Trigger point dry needling is a safe technique used by certified therapists to reduce pain and improve muscle function. Therapists provide individualized exercises post-needling to help muscles return to their proper function. A variety of modalities such as iontophoresis, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, taping, and cupping are available. Physical therapists are movement specialists with extensive training in orthopedic medicine and exercise science. They guide patients through corrective exercises, addressing functional movement and sport/work-specific needs. Biomechanical evaluations for orthotics involve assessing gait and movement to create custom orthotics. Programs focused on sports injury prevention and management are offered for both competitive and recreational athletes. Occupational health services include workplace health programs and ergonomic evaluations. Balance and fall prevention programs help improve strength and minimize fall risks, particularly for older adults. Therapists are skilled in managing vestibular disorders that cause vertigo, dizziness, and balance disturbances.
